4th Grader Luke Choi Wins Poster Contest

A program of the Avon Fire Marshal’s office in conjunction with the Avon Volunteer Fire Department, the poster contest was held from October 1-November 30, 2012.  Fourth grade students at Pine Grove and Roaring Brook schools were eligible to enter poster designs illustrating the theme “Fire Prevention By Everyone Every Day.”  Choi’s poster has been forwarded to the Connecticut Fire Prevention Poster Committee to be judged along with winning posters from throughout the state.  Winning artists from each county will be announced in March and their poster designs will be featured in a 2014 calendar.
