On the evening of Friday, March 9, 2012, the Avon Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a car in the pond at Countryside Park on Huckleberry Hill Road.  The car’s occupants escaped from the vehicle uninjured before the AVFD arrived on scene.  The Hartford Police Dive Team was called to assist with pulling the car from the water.  Photo credit: AVFD Captain Dave Bourgoin.
